Logo Lounge Recognizes 5 Farmhouse Brands in Their 2017 Compilation
At Farmhouse we’re no stranger to recognition. Have a look at our awards page and you’ll get what I’m talking about. But being included in Logo Lounge is particularly meaningful for me because it’s something I used as a resource for years as an up and coming designer, as have tens of thousands of designers world wide.
If you’re not in the field of graphic / logo design, it’s probably not on your radar, nor should it be really, so don’t feel out of the loop if this is the first you’re hearing of it. To those unfamiliar, Logo Lounge is a subscription based website that allows designers to submit their logo work to an online database which doubles as a reference for other designers. In addition to being an online resource, Logo Lounge also publishes a yearly Logo Trend Report detailing anything of significance that happened over the last 12 months in logo design. The third component is the book itself which is a yearly compilation of the best logos submitted to Logo Lounge that year chosen by a panel of judges, usually some household names in the logo design industry. This year was no exception with Aaron Draplin being the most widely recognized, along with Chad Michael, Von Glitschka, and some other design and advertising heavy hitters. Their task is to sift through 40,000 logo submissions and find the best of the best. Looking at 40,000 of anything just sounds exhausting, but they chose 5 of our designs for inclusion in this years compilation and we can’t wait to get our hands on it. I’m not sure when it goes to print, but I’ll do a follow up post when the time comes.
In the meantime, have a look at the chosen designs. Some had a short life, and some are still alive and kicking. But all will live on in print, and that’s always a cool thing.
